3. Date book was published.

1. Subject of the article you looked up.
2. Title of the encyclopedia, italicized .
3. Year the encyclopedia was published.

For an article from an encyclopedia on CD-ROM:

1. Subject of the article you looked up.
2. Title of the encyclopedia, italicized .
3. Date the encyclopedia was published.
4. CD-ROM.
