STONY BROOK MISSION

Stony Brook Elementary School's mission is to prepare our children to successfully meet the academic, social, and emotional challenges of an ever-changing world.  Students will care for themselves, care for others, and care for the world.

Stony Brook Elementary School serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2. Our talented team of educators works with over 230 students (October 2023 enrollment) and their families to support their academic, social-emotional, and physical needs. Our class sizes range from 14 to 18 students and we pride ourselves on teaching the foundational skills that all students need in order to learn, grow, and thrive in our school community. 

With the diversity of students and staff always evolving, we want each and every student, family member, and staff member to feel connected to the community of Brewster and to our Stony Brook School. We value student engagement with a focus on deep learning competencies that include character, creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and citizenship. We believe that all children should have opportunities to reach their full potential and that with support, all children can achieve and find excitement and joy in the learning process.
