Come support our Warriors at these upcoming events!
This past weekend was the Second Summer Cycle, a charity ride benefitting various nonprofit organizations around Cape Cod. The ride has starting points in Orleans, Sandwich, and Mashpee, and finishes off in Provincetown with food trucks and live music. Riders are asked to raise at least $250 each to go towards their nonprofit of choice. Edie Spiegel, a sophomore here at Nauset, participated in this years ride, raising over $530 for Sharing Kindness, a suicide prevention group. Edie is also a member of our Hope Squad, so decided to participate under their name when she heard about this opportunity. Donations to Edie’s ride are accepted until September 30, and participation is greatly encouraged and appreciated. For more information on the cause, visit https://sharingkindness.org/

Introducing Green Threads, Nauset Green Club’s thrift store! As you may remember from last year, Green Threads used to have a rack of clothes in the Librateria. What you may not know is that this organization spreads much farther than a couple of random t-shirts where you would eat lunch. Green Threads has a pop up stand at the Orleans Farmers Market every Saturday from 9-12 am and also takes part in various other events on Cape including the Chatham Environmental Fair. The Green Club is also working towards finding space in the new building to have a shop on campus. Buying secondhand clothing is incredibly helpful to the environment, keeping clothes out of landfills and encourages sustainability over fast fashion. And the best part? Everything is $3! Remember, “it doesn’t need to be new to be awesome!”
