On February 15th, MassDOT visited Orleans Elementary School to unveil a snowplow with "The Mayplower" logo. The name "The Mayplower" was chosen as the winning entry in the Name a Snowplow Contest for the year 2023-24 and was assigned to a snowplow in MassDOT's highway district. The name was submitted by Cirrus Farber's 5th-grade class from Orleans Elementary School. The students were delighted to see the snowplow with the logo and name they had chosen.
