Fourth graders had an exciting learning experience during "Camper's Day!" The classrooms transformed into a lively campsite with tents and paper campfires. Everyone was energized as they embraced the spirit of reading by the campfire.
Fifth-grade students shared heartfelt personal essays about their unique holiday traditions. It was a great chance for them to connect and reflect on the special memories that make the season meaningful.

During Literacy Night OES students in Grades K-2 enjoyed an unforgettable time with award-winning storyteller Diane Edgecombe, who captivated audiences with tales that perfectly aligned with our "Reach for the Stars" theme. Laughter, singing, and creativity filled the room as families teamed up for various literacy activities and crafts. Every participant was left with unique surprises, making it a memorable night.
Literacy Night at OES offered students and their families a fantastic multimedia presentation from Timothy Basil Ering, a proud Nauset alumnus. Timothy shared his personal journey of pursuing his passion for art and storytelling, drawing from his experiences as the illustrator of beloved books like The Tale of Despereaux and The Story of Frog Belly Rat Bone. His inspiring message encouraged our young learners to pursue their dreams with eagerness and creativity.
Today, the kindergarten class enjoyed a walk to the outdoor classroom at Boland Pond, a wonderful space created by the Orleans Conservation Trust. During their visit, they collected leaves for a sorting activity and took part in a mindful moment, focusing on the various sounds of nature surrounding them. It was a great opportunity to connect with the outdoors!
Today, the kindergarten class went on an exciting adventure to Boland Pond! The children happily traveled the wooded path, searching for the perfect fall leaf.
Experts from the Museum of Natural History visited Grade Two to explore tiny organisms that live in the pond!
Second-grade students explored Pond Muck and found tiny creatures in the water using microscopes!
The OES Fun Run was a huge success!
